A pet photography experience that feels like playtime.
Forcing poses on your dog will make them uncomfortable, which can be pretty ruff on their nervous system!
That's why I take an organic approach. We'll let your dog warm up to me (or calm down!) and then let them guide the session.
You and your dog will have fun and we'll get photos of them in their element - the way you love them!
Complimentary leash removal is included on all ordered images!
Safety is my top priority. Many dogs remain on leash the whole time.

How It Works
Custom artwork options for every home & budget
"My dog is high strung."
"My dog is scared of strangers."
"My dog is still learning to behave."
I haven't met a pet I can't work with.
My clients tell me I'm equal parts artist and animal aficionado.
Over the past 25+ years, I've worked with and trained all types of dogs, including some of my own high-strung pups.
I use fear-free training methods to gain a dog's trust, bringing along treats, toys and my best playtime skills!
Finally, I know how to recognize warning signs and notice when an animal starts to feel uncomfortable - and we'll just take a break if that happens.
“The experience with Cedar & Bark was effortless and far better than I could have imagined. Deb was totally prepared, she did her homework, and the follow-up was so much more involved than I had thought.
Because Deb’s so talented as a photographer, every photo was great - while I couldn't afford to buy every single photo, I wanted to. So Deb helped me through the process of choosing wall art for my space and laying it out — she's got an artistic eye.
My dog Leelu and I had a lot of fun doing the shoots, and I found the atmosphere to be very relaxed. I've been photographed for different things and at times it has been kind of stressful, but this wasn’t at all, even though we had the added challenge of my dog!
Part of this was because Deb got a very quick read of Leelu’s personality. For example, I brought some broccoli to entice my dog 'cause she's weird and likes raw broccoli. During the photoshoot, Leelu snuck the whole head of broccoli out of my bag — and we were dying laughing. Deb was on top of this and got some hilarious photos from that moment.
Deb is clearly really good with dogs, and she loves her job, you can tell.”
